1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340 in correct Petty Blue with a black bucket seat interior and Rallye wheels. Extremely nice matching numbers 340 car from North Carolina in a stunning color and with factory documentation. The original matching numbers 340 engine has been rebuilt and upgraded with a Comp 275/284 duration, .462/.482 lift cam and a Holley 650cfm DualFeed carburetor. Fires right up and settles into a lopey idle with a deep aggressive exhaust note from the dual FlowMasters exiting through the rear valence quad chrome tips. Runs nicely on pump gas and there are no mechanical issues; no smoke, no leaks, no noises. Pulls hard through the rev range and runs extremely well; feels like a stout first generation 340 with instant throttle response and that big midrange. The matching numbers 727 Torqueflite transmission shifts perfectly and the 3.55 rearend provides strong acceleration while allowing relaxed high speed cruising. Power steering and power disc brakes for safe easy driving. Excellent black bucket seat interior with the center console and factory SlapStik shifter. Brand new seat covers, brand new full carpet kit, and brand new sill plates. Factory Rallye gauges with the 150 mph speedometer, in dash tachometer, and gauges for Oil Pressure/Water Temperature/& Amps (all work correctly except the factory tachometer which works sporadically). Excellent dash with no warping and no sunfade on the instruments. Excellent factory steering wheel. Factory AM radio in place and an FM converter discreetly located under the dash. Excellent body with no dents, no dings, no waves, factory perfect panel fit, and I cannot find any body filler or replacement panels. Gorgeous paint in correct Super Blue (better known as Petty Blue) done in modern acrylic urethane base/clear and then block sanded and buffed to a smooth glossy finish. This color looks especially spectacular since this car does not have the usual vinyl top. Black strobe side stripes and black rear T/A spoiler. Very nice chrome bumpers front & rear. Excellent window whiskers, weatherstripping, and trunk molding. Excellent glass and all windows operate smoothly. Dual Sport side mirrors with remote. Correct factory Rallye hood with the twin scoops and 340 Magnum emblems and correct rear through the valence exhaust. Factory Rallye wheels with the polished trim rings and chrome center caps fitted with P215-65-15 front and wide P275-60-15 rear raised-white-letter BFGoodrich T/A Radials. Just professionally detailed, buffed, polished, hand waxed, and turnkey ready for cruises and shows. Runs & drives perfectly. Documentation includes the factory Build Sheet, original Owner's Manual, and various pamphlets & receipts. VERY NICE MATCHING NUMBERS CAR!!
