1971 Chevelle SS454 4-speed in gorgeous Tuxedo Black with white stripes, a black vinyl top, black interior, and factory SS wheels w/raised-white-letter BFGoodrich T/A Radials. From Raleigh, N.Carolina; original paint, matching numbers car with only 60,398 actual miles and in #2 show condition. The original matching numbers LS5 454 engine has never been apart and has no internal modifications. When sold by us 5 years ago, it was completely stock but since has had ceramic coated headers, an MSD ignition, Edelbrock 750cfm carburetor, and square bore GM intake manifold added (the original parts are included). Fires right up and settles into a lopey idle with a deep aggressive exhaust note from the dual free-flow exhaust. Runs perfectly on premium pump and there are no mechanical issues; no smoke, no leaks, no noises. PULLS HARD through the rev range with loads of torque right off idle, a killer midrange, and a strong high RPM rush of horsepower. Factory rated at 365 horsepower; these engines put out closer to 400 when stock and this one easily is pushing 435-450 horsepower. The factory M22 Rock Crusher transmission shifts perfectly and the factory 12-bolt positraction 3.31 rearend provides a nice balance of brutal acceleration and relaxed highway driving. Power steering and power disc brakes for safe easy maneuvering. Very nice driving; very powerful car.

The original all black interior is in very nice original condition with the factory bench seat. Factory 7000 RPM in-dash tachometer and 120 mph speedometer; both work perfectly. Factory AM/FM radio with the factory front & rear speakers; plays well and sounds great. Factory SS steering wheel in very nice condition with only one tiny hairline crack in the rim and no gapping. Everything works properly; all lights, turn signals, horn, gauges, windshield wipers, and heater/ventilation system. Excellent dash with no cracks and no warping. A trio of S&W gauges has been mounted under-dash to keep an eye on oil pressure, water temp, and amps. Excellent original carpets with no wear. Remote driver's side mirror.  Excellent original interior door panels. Very nice interior.

Mint condition original body with no dents, no dings, no waves. I cannot find any body filler and there are no repair panels. Original floor pans and trunk pan in excellent condition and the body stamping numbers are clearly visible in the original rear quarters. Perfect original black paint with no nicks, no chips. Perfect white SS stripes on the hood & trunk lid with the original black vinyl top. Incredibly nice original paint; with its originality verified with using an Elcometer electric paint thickness gauge. Factory cowl-induction hood (with hood pins); works properly with opening & closing the throttle. Excellent original glass and all windows operate smoothly. Perfect chrome bumpers and excellent brightwork. Excellent window whiskers, weatherstripping, and trunk molding. The trunk is correctly splatter painted and contains the trunk mat, spare tire, and jack assembly. Factory 15" SS wheels fitted with brand new raised-white-letter P225-70-15 front and P255-60-15 rear BFGoodrich T/A Radials. Just professionally detailed including buffing with several compounds and hand waxing to a deep glossy shine. Runs & drives perfectly and turnkey ready for trophies and summer fun. Very nice car. Oh... and the original Build Sheet to verify authenticity has been laminated and the miles on the title (60,398) are marked as 'Actual'.
