1968 Mustang GT Hardtop in beautiful Highland Green with gold hood & side stripes and chrome factory GT wheels. 100% matching numbers S-code car with only 42,811 miles from the south (Virginia & Florida), and has the Marti Report for verification. The original 390 4-barrel engine (325 horsepower) is factory stock & unmodified. Still fitted with the original Holley carburetor, original cast iron intake manifold, original air cleaner assembly, and chrome valve covers. Fires right up and settles into a smooth quiet idle. Runs perfectly on pump gas and there are no issues; no smoke, no leaks, no noises. The factory 4-speed manual transmission shifts perfectly and the 3.25 limited slip rearend provides a nice balance of strong acceleration and relaxed cruising. Power disc brakes (standard on GTs) for safe stops but no power steering so steering effort is high. 

Original black bucket seat interior in excellent condition. No wear of the seats, perfect carpets, excellent interior door panels. All gauges work properly (including the factory 8000 tachometer) and the original floor shifter is tight. The factory radio is still in place (has poor reception) and the steering wheel has been replaced with a premium walnut & polished alloy Moto Lita. A trio of modern gauges have been discretely added underdash for Oil Pressure, Water Temperature, & Amps. No wear on the pedals, no wear on the controls, and excellent original headliner. Very nice interior.

 Excellent body with no dents, no dings, no waves, and I cannot find any body filler. Excellent paint in correct Highland Green with gold side & hood stripes. The paint has been done in modern urethane acrylic base/clear and the stripes are nicely done under the clear. According to the Marti Report, this car came as Highland Green with white stripes but the gold looks even better. Excellent front & rear bumpers. Factory turn-signal hood (both blinkers work correctly). Excellent glass and all windows operate smoothly. Factory chrome quad-tip tail pipes. Excellent weatherstripping, window whiskers, and trunk seal. Excellent brightwork and polished trim. Factory chrome GT wheels fitted with P225-60-14 raised-white-letter BFGoodrich T/As. The trunk contains the original rubber mat, original spare tire, and original jack. Just professionally detailed, buffed, hand waxed, and turnkey ready for cruises and shows. Runs & drives perfectly. Very rare car (only 1194 made), the only factory GT 390 4-speed Hardtop I have ever seen.
