1967 Camaro SS 396/375 Horse matching numbers L78 4-speed in correct L-L code Tahoe Turquoise with the white nose stripe and factory Rallye wheels. ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL, MATCHING NUMBERS, FRAME-OFF RESTORED GENUINE L78 CAR WITH ONLY 57,008 MILES!! The original engine is still fitted with the correct Winters aluminum intake manifold, correct Holley 4-barrel carburetor, correct square port factory High-Performance heads, correct solid lifter factory camshaft, correct cast iron exhaust manifolds, correct chrome aircleaner assembly, and correct Delco ignition system. The VIN pad is still clearly stamped with both the correct MQ designation and the correct matching numbers VIN, all casting numbers are correct, and the cowl tag is clearly stamped with the 4k designation for L78 only cars. Fires right up and settles into a lopey idle with the mild ticking of the solid lifters and a correct subdued exhaust note from the factory sidewinder exhaust system. There are no mechanical issues; no smoke, no leaks, no noises, but with 11:1 compression from the factory, requires octane booster or the addition of several gallons of racing gas to prevent pinging. NAILS YOU BACK IN THE SEAT WHEN YOU FLOOR IT AND LIGHTS UP THE REAR TIRES WITH THE THROTTLE!! Back in 1967, these were GM's fastest production cars and routinely beat 427 Corvettes!! The factory M21 close-ratio 4-speed transmission shifts perfectly and the correct 3.55 12-bolt positraction rearend provides incredible acceleration while allowing relaxed high speed use. Power disc brakes for safe stops but as with most L78 cars, no power steering but still steers easy (these engines revved so quickly that they threw power steering belts). Gorgeous original black interior with the factory bench seat and fold down center armrest (very rare seat option and much more comfortable than the buckets). No wear on the seats front or rear, no wear on the pedals, no wear on the controls. The factory SS steering wheel is in excellent condition and there is no cracks in the rim and no pitting on the hardware. The original dash is excellent, has no modifications; and the factory AM radio is still in place. A pair of AutoMeter gauges for Oil Pressure and Water Temperature have been discreetly added underdash to monitor the vitals but can easily be removed by the purist. Excellent carpets, excellent door panels, excellent headliner. All gauges work properly, all lights work correctly, and all accessories operate as they should. Laser straight body with no dents, no dings, no waves. I cannot find any body filler or any repair patches and the panel fit is factory perfect. Gorgeous paint in the correct L-L code Tahoe Turqoise with a white nose stripe done in modern acrylic base/clear and block sanded to a smooth glossy shine. The stripe is done under the clear, the paintwork is show quality, and this is a stunning color with a pearlescent depth that appears 3 feet deep in bright sunlight. Perfect chrome bumpers front and rear. Perfect tail light bezels with no pitting. Excellent brightwork and stainless steel trim. Brand new weatherstripping, window whiskers, and trunk seal. Excellent glass and all windows operate smoothly. Correct Delco TarTop battery. Correct factory single traction bar. Correct splatter painted trunk with the spare tire, jack assembly, and rubber trunk mat. Factory Rallye wheels with the polished trim rings and chrome center caps fitted with raised-white-letter P225-70-15 front and P255-60-15 rear raised-white-letter BFGoodrich T/A Radials. Just professionally detailed and hand waxed and turnkey ready for best-of-show trophies and cruises. VERY NICE, VERY RARE, BLUE-CHIP INVESTMENT CAR!!
