| 1966 Triumph Bonneville with only two owners since new, only 6,253 miles, and in excellent condition. All original paint, factory stock original bike with matching numbers from the collection of an affluent Cleveland collector. Originally sold in Akron, Ohio at Worden's Cycle, the bike was owned by the original owner for 45 years. Never wrecked, never modified, always garage kept. The second owner acquired it two years ago and had the instruments rebuilt (it had 6,039 miles; an additional 214 have now been added), new tires installed, and had a tune-up done. I acquired his collection (mainly early Japanese bikes) and had this Bonneville checked over by Bob Bancroft at Bancroft Vintage Cycle Works. It starts on the first kick and runs perfectly. There are no issues; no smoke, no leaks, no noises, and goes down the road beautifully. Everything works properly (head & tail lights, brake light, tachometer, speedometer, ammeter, horn) and the original seat in excellent condition is also included. The original paint is in excellent condition and is one of Triumph's more desirable paint schemes (Triumph had a different paint scheme each year and all bikes that year were painted identically). The engine has never been apart, the original Amal Monobloc carbs work perfectly, and the original chrome air cleaner assemblies are fitted. Front & rear stainless steel fenders are also excellent as is the chrome headlight, chrome wheels, and the chrome factory exhaust system. Turnkey ready for summer fun and shows; this is not a restoration but a nicely preserved original. Very nice 1966 Triumph Bonneville. |
