1956 Oldsmobile 98 Holiday 2-door hardtop in stunning Shantung Beige & Alcan White with a continental kit, rear skirts, wide whites, and a beautiful two-tone gold brocade interior. Extremely attractive car in #2+ show condition with only 62,501 miles. The original 324 4-barrel V8 engine is 100% stock and still fitted with the Rochestor carburetor, batwing aircleaner assembly, and cast iron intake manifold. Starts immediately and settles into a smooth quiet idle. There are no mechanical issues; no smoke, no leaks, no noises; and runs nicely on premium pump. The original Jetaway automatic transmission shifts perfectly and the long 2.78 rearend provides relaxed high speed cruising. Rides very softly and cruises effortlessly at 75-80 mph. Power steering and power brakes.

Gorgeous interior in correct gold brocade cloth with tan vinyl trim and dark brown carpets. Excellent seats, excellent carpets, excellent original door panels; no wear on anything and no marks. Excellent original steering wheel with no cracks. Power 6-way front seat and power windows w/crank operated vent windows; all work properly. Factory optional padded dash in excellent condition. All gauges, lights, & instruments work properly except for the clock and the gas gauge reads low. Factory 8-tube deluxe radio with power antenna. The power antenna works but not the radio. All chrome dash in mint condition. Factory autronic eye automatic headlight dimmers; work correctly. Excellent headliner with chrome bows. Extremely comfortable and show-ready interior.

Perfect original steel body with no dents, no dings, no waves, and I cannot find any replacement panels or body work. Panel fit is factory perfect and doors, hood, trunk, fenders, etc. all align beautifully. Factory correct two-tone paint in Shantung Beige & Alcan White (the original colors) done in correct hand rubbed lacquer to show standards. No nicks, no chips, no flaws, hand rubbed & buffed to a perfectly smooth finish, and these colors are lovely; the classiest 50's two tone combination available. Excellent front & rear bumpers, excellent front grill, and excellent rear continental kit with the trunk-mounted spare tire. All chrome has been triple-dipped show-chromed and is perfect. Professionally polished brightwork. Rear fender skirts. Beautiful jet plane chrome hood ornament. Factory deluxe tri-bar hubcaps with correct wide-whites. The trunk contains the original rubberized fabric mat, original jack assembly, and the spare tire is in the continental kit. These cars were designed by the legendary Harley Earl and were styled after the F86 Sabre; America's first jet fighter. From Raleigh, North Carolina and with only 62,501 miles; runs & drives perfectly, and is a trophy contender at any show. Gets more positive attention, thumbs-ups, and questions than any car I've owned. Beautiful!!
